Lyla Chandy
College of Lake County

Lyla Chandy retired in spring 2013 after 33 years of service to Triton College, Oakton Community College, and the College of Lake County.

During her 22 years at CLC, she worked with three presidents and two interim presidents in the areas of public relations and executive administration.

As the president's "chief communicator,' Chandy was responsible for preparing reports, agendas, and speeches, as well as weekly updates for the board of trustees. She also created the first procedural manual for the Illinois Council of Community College Presidents.

CLC president Dr. Jerry Weber says, "Having worked at six community colleges, I can rank no Executive Assistant as more dedicated, loyal or conscientious than Lyla."
